On October 28th, at the Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo conference, Gartner analysts released ten trend forecasts covering artificial intelligence, blockchain, digital currency, enterprise digitalization, and online shopping addiction.

In recent years, fake news has increased rapidly due to robotic accounts on social media, and such news has attracted more viewers than real news and manipulated people’s information.

Gartner Distinguished Vice President and Academician Daryl Plummer, believes: “IT organizations must work with content production teams to identify and track the source of corporate content using blockchain technology.”

Gartner predicts that by 2021, at least 10 large news organizations will use blockchain to track and verify whether the content they publish to readers and users is true. Similarly, governments, technology giants and other entities are fighting back through industry organization and drafting regulations. By 2023, up to 30% of global news and video content will be verified through blockchain to address deep forgery techniques.

The following are Gartner’s top ten trend forecasts for 2020 and beyond:

1. In 2023, the number of people with disabilities who work will increase by a factor of three because artificial intelligence and emerging technology reduce barriers to their participation in work.
2. In 2024, artificial intelligence sentiment recognition will affect more than half of the online ads you see.
3. By 2023, 30% of IT organizations will extend the boundaries of the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) strategy to meet the workforce’s need for an enhanced workforce through the Bring Your Own Enhancement (BYOE) strategy.
4. In 2025, 50% of people with smartphones but no bank accounts will use cryptocurrency accounts that are accessible via mobile devices.
5. By 2023, at least four of the G7 countries will establish an autonomous association of artificial intelligence and machine learning designers.
6. In 2023, 40% of professional workers will orchestrate their business application experience as they are programmed for their music streaming experience.
7. In 2023, up to 30% of global news and video content will be verified through blockchain to address deep forgery techniques.
8. By 2021, large traditional companies will spend twice as much time and cost on digital transformation.
