Romance anime is going to be a hits this season, along with some returning favorites anime season!!
For those return for another season, or those hoping to jump into anime for the first time, we went ahead and made a nice list of what we are going to watch. You’ll want to watch these, too.
Here are several of the new and returning titles we’re excited to watch this season, along with where to watch them.
1. Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer)
The anime studio best-known for its incredible CGI and work on the Fate franchise, Ufotable, is finally coming out with something that has nothing to do with the clash over the Holy Grail. In Blade Of Demon Destruction, Tanjirou’s entire family gets assaulted, and the only other survivor is his sister Nezuko – who has turned into a demon.
Despite the change, there still appears to be some humanity left inside of Nezuko, prompting Tanjirou to embark on a journey to change her back.
2. Kaguya-sama: Love is War
Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane serve as the vice president and president of the student council. The process of working together has caused them to develop romantic feelings for one another. Most people would confess their feelings or keep quiet, but not these two.
Instead, they dedicate all their efforts to making the other person confess first.
3. Dr Stone
Dr Stone follows the story of Senku Ishigami, a genius, leek-haired high school student with a passion for astronomy and space exploration, and his oafish, lovable childhood friend Taiju Ōki as they attempt to rebuild civilization in the wake of a mysterious event that transforms every human being on the planet into stone.
Every new discovery is as thrilling to witness in action as it is hilarious to hear explained to Taiju in Senku’s dry, matter-of-fact wit. If you’re looking for an anime that’ll make you feel just a tad bit smarter for having watched it, Dr. Stone is the anime for you.
4. One Punch Man 2
One-Punch Man, which follows the adventures of Saitama, a superhero who can defeat anyone with a single punch, is one of the most popular anime of the past decade, and its second season will be coming out in April.
Exactly what it will cover is unclear, but one thing we know that a new villain will appear, and the show will be animate by J.C.
5. Domestic Girlfriend
Natsuo Fujii is in love with Hina but the problem though, she’s his teacher. To try and get his mind off of her, he hooks up with a classmate named Rui. Through a series of complicated events, he winds up living with both of them.
With beautiful art and a thoughtful manga behind it, Domestic Girlfriend might be a nuanced portrait of the human heart – or a Jerry Springer-level disaster of a story that will be entertaining for completely different reasons. Either way, it should be a good time.
6. My Hero Academia
My Hero Academia grew to massive popularity within the anime community and beyond since first airing in 2016 – and, of course, with every long-standing or popular anime, you know one thing always follows: shipping!
The best My Hero Academia ships may not be the focal point of the plot, but they do provide a point of interest for fans of the show. A variety of characters exist in the My Hero series, all with different powers and personalities that give shippers great material to work with.
7. The Quintessential Quintuplets
Fuutarou Uesugi is a socially awkward young man who winds up tutoring a wealthy transfer student named Itsuki Nakano. The two don’t get along at first, but Fuutarou is eventually drawn into Itsuki’s world and into that of her four sisters.
This anime has attracted some well-known voice actors, including Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, who played Kirito from Sword Art Online.
